Nutrients (養分 Youbun) have different appearances in soil. With more nutrients, higher grades of monsters will be released. There are three levels of nutrients, each with its own symbol on the soil block. Level 1 soil has at least one nutrient point, level 2 soil has at least 10 nutrients, and level 3 soil has at least 17 nutrients. It has a counterpart in mana.
Monsters[]
Monsters obtained through nutrients are physically-oriented, primarily attacking a hero's DEF. They follow a straightforward food chain, with Lizardmen eating Omnoms, and Omnoms eating Mosses.

If a Level 2 block contains 16WDIDTDTML2 or 15NHA nutrients and mana in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 and No Heroes Allowed!, it will spawn a Leviathomnom.
Yu-Nama: The Puzzle and sequels[]
Nutrients appear on monster blocks and level up nearby blocks depending on the block it appeared. The higher the level, the rarer it is to appear, and it is lost when used in a combination. Soil blocks become level 1 blocks, and blocking blocks become soil blocks.
