Mana (魔分) is a magical equivalent of nutrients, producing its own category of monsters. It rarely appears naturally, with the only instances being in late-game stages in What Did I Do to Deserve This, My Lord!? 2 and Training stages. Outside of this, it is strictly obtained through heroes.
Creation[]
Mana is generated two different ways.
- When a Hero or a monster dies, their unused mana is spread around the blocks nearby.
- When a Hero uses a skill (such as War Cry), the mana that was used is spread to the blocks around them.
Mana can be redistributed through Spirits and careful culling of existing mana-based monsters, just like nutrients.
Monsters[]
Mana-based monsters are magically-oriented, prioritising ranged attacks and targeting RES. Their food chain is a little less linear, with Liliths eating Omnoms, and Dragons eating almost anything. Thus, they can be seen as more advanced compared to nutrient-based monsters.
